Dental Bridges in Borger, TX

A bridge fills the gap left by one or more missing teeth, and unlike a partial denture, it stays put — you don't take it out. The teeth on either side of the gap (the abutments) are prepared to hold crowns, and the replacement tooth (or teeth) is attached between them as a single piece.

Why Dr. Robertson might recommend one

  • Restores normal chewing and speech
  • Keeps neighboring teeth from drifting into the empty space
  • Maintains the shape of your face — gaps tend to let the surrounding muscles sag over time
  • Looks and blends in with your existing teeth

Traditional vs. CEREC bridges

A traditional bridge takes two visits: one to prepare the abutment teeth, take impressions, and place a temporary; then a second visit weeks later to cement the finished bridge. With CEREC, Dr. Robertson can often design, mill, and place the entire bridge in a single appointment — one scan, one visit, permanent restoration the same day. CEREC isn't right for every case, but when it works, it saves real time.

Implant-supported alternative

If the teeth next to the gap are healthy and you'd rather not crown them, an implant-supported bridge is worth discussing. It anchors to implants in the bone instead of the neighboring teeth. Dr. Robertson will walk through the tradeoffs so you can choose the option that fits your situation.
