How the appointment works

Dr. Robertson starts with a digital scan of the tooth — a small wand takes a precise 3D image, so there's no putty tray. That scan goes into the design software, where the restoration is shaped to match your bite and the tooth next to it. Once the design is approved, a ceramic block is loaded into the in-office milling unit and your restoration is carved out, polished, and bonded in place. Start to finish, most cases take about an hour from scan to cement.

The ceramic is durable and color-matched to your existing teeth, so the finished restoration blends in. Beyond the time saved, you also skip the common headaches of a temporary crown — no cap coming loose on something you eat, no sensitivity between visits.
